Plato and ascended masters

Question: Plato’s dialogues are the second most studied books by scholars after the Bible. Many of Plato's teachings sound religious in nature, and he taught many ideas that are very close to the teachings of the ascended masters. Where did Plato get his inspiration? Was he in tune with the ascended masters?

Answer from the Ascended Master Kuthumi through Kim Michaels. This answer was given at a conference in Washington, D.C. (USA) in 2019.

Plato was in tune with the ascended masters, not really with most of the masters you know today because we were not ascended at Plato's time. But nevertheless, he was an example of a philosopher who was able to tune in and receive these ideas such as the cave, which is a very important symbol to have in the collective consciousness, and also receive the ideas of the realm of ideal forms. And by the very fact that he was open to this it shows that he was in tune with a higher realm. Yes, there is much to be studied there. But as we have also mentioned during this conference the idea, for example, of the philosopher king was valid at the time but is outdated now. And the same goes for several others of his ideas.
